Google is testing the ‘Flip to Silence’ feature on non-pixel devices

With the Pixel 3 series, Google has added a new feature called ‘Flip to Shhh’ which switches to silent mode when the device is facing down. So, according to reports, Google is preparing to extend this feature to non-Pixel devices through the Google phone app.

XDA Developers report that a ‘Flip To Silence’ toggle will be added to the Google phone app to silence incoming calls. This option is in the advanced section of the app’s settings. According to the XDA report, this function is not functional for everyone.

So this toggle is currently released for several non pixel devices like Essential Phone, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, iQOO 3, Redmi Note 5 Pro, ASUS ZenFone 6, POCO F1, and OnePlus Nord.

So it seems to us that Google is testing this new feature with a specific group of users. This toggle is not available to pixel users because of the Flip to Shhh feature.

However, Google has not officially confirmed this. But we can expect it to happen soon. When that happens, this feature can be called one of the most important key feature of the device.
