Huawei is set to release the HarmonyOS Beta for its mobile phones on December 18th

We bring you information that Huawei is preparing to switch from Android to Harmony OS (a.k.a. HongMeng in China) in the next few months. Accordingly, they have informed that Huawei’s Harmony OS is currently in the final stages of development. At a recent Huawei Developer Conference, they announced that they were ready to offer a beta version of this OS to selected smartphones by the end of this year.

According to Changan Digital King, a Weibo user, we can say that the developer beta version of this Harmony OS is going to be released on December 18th. After the release of this beta version, it will be possible to upgrade to this OS for several smartphones and it is expected to provide the beta version of the Harmony OS for many Huawei smartphones by January and February 2021.

This Harmony OS is not only for smartphones but also for TVs, smart cameras and Head units. This Harmony OS is expected to be the first to be offered for flagship devices with the Huawei EMUI 11 version. The first devices to get this Harmony OS Beta version are the Huawei Mate 40 Series and the MatePad Pro Tablet.
